The School Games
The School Games is a program that focuses on physical activity and school sports, aiming to increase participation and promote positive experiences in competitive sport. It's a national framework delivered locally by School Games Organisers (SGOs) who work with schools and communities to offer opportunities for young people to participate in a variety of sports. The School Games also includes a national event, the School Games National Finals, which is a multi-sport event for the UK's elite young athletes.

At Kings Heath Primary we have a long history of engaging with the school games. We have won multiple Bronze and Silver awards in the past and currently hold the Bronze award for our provision during the 2023/2024 academic year.
2024/2025 has been an exciting year from The School games here at Kings Heath Primary, we have added half-termly competitions between house teams at level one of the school games. These are linked to our PE curriculum within school. We have also nominated our first School Games Organising Committee who have been working to increase the profile of The School Games within school.
Each competition will be linked to one of the six School Games Values and one person from each class will be awarded the badge for that value at the end of each competition. The School Games Values are as follows:
-
Determination
-
Honesty

Passion
