TIAAS Silver Award!

Kings Heath Primary earns Silver Accreditation for TIAAS (Trauma Informed Attachment Aware School) award
We are proud to be recognised as a Trauma Informed and Attachment Aware School (TIAAS), reflecting our deep commitment to understanding and supporting the emotional wellbeing of every child.
This recognition acknowledges the work we have undertaken to ensure that all staff are equipped with the knowledge and strategies to respond to children who may have experienced trauma or disrupted attachment. At Kings Heath Primary School, we recognise that behaviour is a form of communication, and we prioritise relationships, consistency and emotional safety in all that we do.
Our approach is rooted in empathy and understanding. Staff are trained to use nurturing, supportive strategies that help children feel safe, regulated and ready to learn. We focus on building strong, trusting relationships, creating calm and predictable environments, and providing the right support at the right time.
Being a Trauma Informed and Attachment Aware School means that inclusion is at the heart of our practice. We work closely with families and external agencies to ensure that every child feels valued, understood and able to succeed.
This is not a one-off achievement, but an ongoing commitment to ensuring that every child at Kings Heath Primary School thrives—both academically and emotionally.
